Bird sightings in Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand, India

Great Hornbill
I am sharing some bird pictures from my trip to Corbett National Park,Uttarakhand, in April 2015. The Dhikala zone of Corbett is really great for birding. Although we were not actively birding we did see quite a few birds.

Chestnut-tailed Starling


Common Stonechats
Cormorants and Egrets


Crested Lark
Green Bee-Eater


Himalayan Bulbul
Indian Roller


Peacock
Purple Sunbird (female and male)


Red-collared dove
River Lapwing


Shikra
Spotted Dove


White-Throated Fantail
Woolly-Necked-Stork

  6. Corbett because of its vast and varied habitat with plenty of water and food makes it a paradise for birdwaters. However a lot of tourists miss the birds while driving away in search of the tiger.

    @Indiawilds, I agree, tiger sighting does take precedence, the variety of birds in the Dhilaka zone is certainly not to be missed...
