The evening sky at its full glory!

Image
The Golden evening sky today I look forward to evenings, there is something special about evenings......love the mood, love the moment, and love the serenity. My love for evenings can't be said better than the below quotes: “ The evening's the best part of the day. You've done your day's work. Now you can put your feet up and enjoy it.” -Kazuo Ishiguro “Evenings are the beautifully sweet spot between the harsh light of the day and the dead darkness of night.” -Annonymuos

Nature from my window

It’s nature.” – Shikoba “Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.” – Ashley Smith  These two beautiful quotes sum up exactly how I feel. Nature refreshes me and I can't have enough of it. I love spending time observing nature. The only side effect of drinking up this beauty is the feeling of immense joy:)                    The glorious Sun           ...

The setting sun and the contrasting colours of the sky tells a story

Image
I love sunsets; there is something indescribably beautiful about them.  Time comes to a standstill; t he changing colours and contrasts of the sky leaves me mesmerizied.  One moment dark and cloudy, and the next moment clear and a brilliant blue; the canvas of sky changes so beautifully and completely... Isn’t it so much like the contrasting experiences we face in our lives? Even more so now with the entire world in the grips of a pandemic that has  changed and is changing so much around us, and in us.  I wonder why contrasts come into our lives...and when they do, the tunnel seems inordinately long without any light in sight :(  All is not lost for sure, and the good news is, nothing lasts forever:) Here is one of my favourite poems by Rumi,  so relevant and so beautiful; it fills me with hope: Seeker, when you feel your soul contracting know it is for your own good. Allow not your heart to burn with grief. In times of expansion you spend ...

Fire tailed sunbird Nature fascinates me, the more time I spend in natural surroundings, the more I want it. The beauty, colours, sounds, the sylvan surroundings, and the serenity that nature offers is so blissful, refreshing, and fulfilling. Nothing can quite replace this feeling. Nature is wonderful

Image
Sunbird There were Sunbirds and Bulbuls in our garden today. What a wonderful sight! There is nothing quite like nature. The sights and sounds of nature are so therapeutic and peaceful. Birds in our garden have become so rare that I wonder where the birds have gone! Our growing population has ensured that we do not share space with these wonderful creatures who seem to be rarely seen. Other than crows and sparrows (I think their numbers are going down too), I can't see any other birds in our garden anymore! Bulbul Sunbird
