One of my favourite events of the year is the Baul mela that happens typically around the 9th and 10th of January, every year, in Shaktigarh, Jadavpur, Kolkata.
If I am in town this is an event I never miss. Rarely do we get to see so many bauls coming together and performing in this event.

And especially when there are events such as, baul fests, book fests, and so many other things that are so Kolkata, that are happening, and we can't attend those:(
However, on a positive note, thanks to the internet we can watch some of these events on-line, and it does somewhat help drive the blues away:)
